Introducing Kasper

Managing an EV charging network means working across charger statuses, session records, revenue reports, fault logs, locations, and support requests. The information is available in the QuickCharge Portal, but finding the right detail can require moving between several different pages and reports.

Kasper changes that.

Kasper is the new AI assistant built directly into the QuickCharge Portal. It gives customers a simpler, more conversational way to understand their charging network. Instead of searching through the portal for a particular figure or charger, you can ask Kasper a question in everyday language and receive a clear answer based on your account’s data.

This is one of our most significant portal releases to date—and an important step toward making EV charging management faster, easier, and more intelligent.

A new way to use the QuickCharge Portal

Kasper is more than a general-purpose chatbot. It was created specifically for QuickCharge customers and the day-to-day questions that come with operating a charging network.

You do not need to know which report contains a figure, which filter to apply, or where a particular charger is located. Ask your question, and Kasper can retrieve the relevant information from the portal and summarize it for you.

For example, you can ask:

  • “How many chargers do I manage?”
  • “How are my chargers doing right now?”
  • “Which chargers are currently faulted?”
  • “How much revenue did my sites generate last month?”
  • “How many charging sessions did we have last week?”
  • “How much energy was delivered at this location?”
  • “Where is charger QC-01187?”
  • “Have there been any recent faults at this site?”

Kasper can understand different ways of referring to your equipment, whether you call it a charger, charging station, EVSE, port, or plug. It can also help locate a specific charger within your account before reviewing its status or recent activity.

Answers grounded in your QuickCharge data

When you ask Kasper a question, it uses a defined set of read-only tools to retrieve information from the QuickCharge platform. Its answers are based on current portal data—not on general assumptions about your charging network.

Kasper can help you explore several areas of your operation:

Sites and chargers: Review your charging locations, find individual chargers, see account-wide charger totals, and check current operational statuses.

Performance and revenue: Ask about revenue, charging-session totals, failed sessions, success rates, and performance over a specific day, week, month, or custom period.

Sessions and energy: Explore activity at a particular site, including session details, charger usage, energy delivered, and status breakdowns.

Faults and troubleshooting: Review current charger status alongside recent fault records to better understand what may be happening at a location.

Kasper is designed to distinguish between current charger conditions and historical fault records. If the available information does not support a definite conclusion, it will tell you what it can see instead of treating incomplete data as proof that a charger is healthy or experiencing a specific problem.

From a question to a support request

Some charger issues require help from the QuickCharge Support team. Kasper makes that handoff easier, too.

When you report a charger problem, Kasper can first review the relevant site, charger status, and recent fault information. If you want additional help, it can prepare a support request containing your description of the issue and the available diagnostic details.

Nothing is sent automatically. Kasper will show you the prepared request and ask you to confirm or cancel it. Once confirmed, the request is sent to QuickCharge Support, and you receive a copy for your records.

This process gives our support team more useful context from the beginning, reducing the need to gather basic information through several follow-up messages. It also saves customers from manually copying charger identifiers, site information, statuses, and fault details into an email.

Designed around your account and permissions

Protecting customer information was a core part of Kasper’s design.

Kasper only works with the sites, chargers, sessions, and performance information available to your signed-in QuickCharge account. It cannot access another organization’s charging data, and it follows the same account boundaries and permissions used throughout the portal.

Kasper’s current capabilities are also read-only. It cannot restart a charger, change a configuration, initiate a remote action, or modify your portal data. It can help you understand what is happening and prepare a support request, but you remain in control of any action taken.

Built to make complex information easier to use

As charging networks grow, operators have more data to manage—and more questions to answer. Our goal with Kasper is to make that information easier to reach without removing the detailed dashboards, reports, and controls customers already rely on.

The traditional portal experience remains available whenever you want to examine a report or work directly with your network. Kasper adds a faster starting point: ask a question, get the relevant information, and then decide what to do next.

That can mean checking the condition of your network before the workday begins, reviewing last month’s revenue, investigating a charger reported by a driver, or preparing a detailed request for support.

Kasper is available from the assistant icon in the lower-right corner of the QuickCharge Portal. Open the assistant, choose one of the suggested questions, or type your own question about your charging network.

Kasper represents the beginning of a more intuitive QuickCharge experience—one where the information you need is not only available, but easier to understand and act on.

We’re excited to introduce Kasper and look forward to continuing to expand what the QuickCharge Portal can do.
